DML Morning Briefing Thu. Oct. 27

School massacre thwarted, truck full of illegal aliens, crime, former FDA scientists, and more…
By Anneta Griffee

Today is October 27. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.

1 – 12-year-old arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot up middle school
Fox11 Los Angeles reports: VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot up a Victorville middle school, and police seized multiple guns at the child’s home, according to deputies.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Mesa Linda Middle School on Oct. 24, after several students reported that they overheard another student threatening to shoot up the school. Officers detained the 12-year-old on campus, and searched both the student and the school without finding any weapons.

Police then issued a search warrant at the student’s house, and along with a K-9 unit, found at least eight guns, including a scoped rifle and handgun, according to a photo provided by deputies.

The student was arrested and booked at the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall.

MY TAKE: Where were this kids parents?  This is not a gun problem. Anyone think all this godless, woke agenda being pumped into kids is creating a mental illness epidemic?

2 – Texas man charged for allegedly smuggling 84 illegal aliens across US border
ABC News reports: A Texas man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly trying to smuggle dozens of undocumented immigrants across the U.S. border hidden in a dump truck, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Robert Flores Jr., 38, from Poteet, Texas, was charged with 84 counts of human smuggling after being stopped on Interstate Highway 35 in Cotulla, Texas, for a commercial motor vehicle safety inspection, authorities said.

Texas DPS said Flores Jr. was allegedly smuggling 84 migrants from Guatemala and Mexico. The suspect allegedly bypassed a border patrol checkpoint in Texas’ Webb County when he was pulled over, Texas DPS spokesperson Lt. Chris Olivarez said on Twitter.

MY TAKE: Joe Biden is literally incentivizing this invasion of our country!

3 – The View’ hosts spar over whether or not NYC crime is just Republican ‘fearmongering’
Fox News reports: The hosts of “The View” went back and forth over crime across the U.S. during Wednesday’s episode and Sunny Hostin argued that New York City is “one of the safest cities in the country.”

“New York is one of the safest cities in the country. It has a $5 billion budget,” Hostin said after arguing that the Republican plan to deal with crime was “fearmongering.”

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked if she felt safe in New York and added, “I don’t feel safe in New York.”

“You’re very young,” co-host Joy Behar said to Farah Griffin. “You know, I have been around, and there were worse crime rates in the ’80s and the ’70s.”

Behar added that she was afraid to leave her house, and Farah Griffin said, “We shouldn’t settle for that.”

“I’m not settling for it, but don’t exaggerate the situation,” Behar said.

MY TAKE: Hostin literally claimed that “New York is one of the safest cities in the country.” They also claimed “people don’t care about broken window crimes.” If you watch that video, you’ll be left just shaking your head.

And… I suppose The View thinks no one cares about this either?

4 – Air Force improperly released records on GOP candidate’s sexual assault
The Hill reports: The Air Force has taken responsibility for the improper release of Republican House candidate Jennifer Ruth-Green’s confidential military records that detailed a sexual assault during her time serving that were exposed in a news story earlier this month.

“Based on the preliminary findings of an investigation, it appears information was released to a third party by a junior individual who didn’t follow proper procedures and obtain required consent,” Ann Stefanek, chief of media operations at the Air Force, said in a statement to The Hill on Wednesday about the release of Green’s information. “The Department of the Air Force takes its responsibility to safeguard private information seriously and the matter remains under investigation.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Indiana GOP Reps. Jim Banks and Larry Bucshon released a joint statement calling on the Air Force to take responsibility for the leak. The two congressmen detailed a Tuesday call with Air Force Inspector General Lt. Gen. Stephen Davis, who confirmed the file was actually leaked to an opposition research firm, which is how they were presumably later given a Politico reporter.

The Politico profile on Green, candidate for Indiana’s 1st Congressional District, included details from poor performance evaluations in her military personnel file. It included that in 2009, “an Iraqi serviceman sexually assaulted [Green] by grabbing her breast and exposing himself” when “she and a small group of officers visited the national training center.”

Green told Politico that when she reported the assault against the advice of those in her command, her career was “intentionally derailed.”

MY TAKE: The Air Force had NO BUSINESS releasing this woman’s private record. I hope she wins by a LANDSLIDE!

5 – FDA Documents Confirm Top Scientists Were Frustrated Over CDC Ramming Through Boosters
The Daily Caller reports: Newly unearthed documents offer additional insight into the departure of multiple key vaccine officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last year.

Dr. Phil Krause, who resigned from his position as deputy director of the FDA’s vaccine review office last year, expressed frustration with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in emails obtained via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by Judicial Watch. Krause, along with director of the FDA’s vaccine review office, Dr. Marion Gruber, resigned due to reported disagreements with a push to authorize COVID-19 boosters for the general population.

“From my brief discussion with Peter [presumably, CBER Director Peter Marks] this morning, after some calls with CDC and HHS last night, the problem is that the [redacted]. Take a deep breath before reading this next paragraph,” Krause wrote in an unearthed email. “On that call, the CDC evidently stated that they will assemble all the data they are aware of on third dosing in this setting, and send it to us in the hope that we will (very soon) authorize the third dose for immunocompromised as part of the EUA.”

“Peter told me that CBER IOD [presumably CBER Immediate Office of the Director] will triage this—I told him I need to be cc:ed on any of these communications so we don’t get blindsided, but that we also need to protect the review team.”

Last year, Krause co-authored an op-ed in The Washington Post criticizing the Biden administration for “sidelining” scientists in its rush to authorize and distribute booster vaccines. He then wrote in February that booster mandates weren’t justified, and would be “overkill at best” considering how many people already had natural immunity through prior infection.

MY TAKE: The more truth comes to the surface, the more this whole thing appears criminal!  Thankfully, I never drank the kool-aide. Instead, I have taken CBD for the past three years, and my immune system is the strongest its ever been in my LIFE!
