DML News Morning Briefing, April 1

Today is April 1. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.

1. DML to register as a Democrat
Founder of the DML NEWS APP, and host of The Dennis Michael Lynch Podcast has decided he is joining the Democratic Party.  On social media, the once conservative firebrand posted a message that shocked his long time supporters.

“For my entire life I have been a conservative.  But as I look at the country and see the remarkable things Biden has done, I recognized that the liberals are a well-rounded group with really strong ideas.  They have the sort of moral compass I want to follow,” DML wrote.

2.Tennessee ban on drag shows in front of children temporarily blocked by judge
Fox News – A federal judge in Tennessee temporarily blocked a law that would have restricted drag performances in front of children from going into effect.

The restraining order was issued Friday, with the judge saying the legislation was likely “vague and overly-broad” in its restriction of speech. The bill would have otherwise gone into effect on Saturday.

Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee signed the bill in February after it passed through the state’s legislature. The measure was designed to restrict drag performances in public or in front of children, as conservatives across the country argue that the shows are inappropriate for younger audiences.

3. Elon Musk post goes viral with over 13M views in less than a few hours
Twitter owner and CEO, Elon Musk, published a tweet late Saturday evening that went viral by early Sunday morning.  The tweet reads:“We live in the most interesting of times”

The tweet generated more than 20,000 responses in just a few hours.

DML: I am one of the responders. I wrote:
No we don’t. We live in the worst of times. At 53.5 years old, I do not recall a time more uninteresting. It’s not interesting to shutdown a country over a lab virus; send our assets and money to corrupt Ukraine; allow cartels to drug our citizens; encourage kids to cut off their body parts; have millions of people living in tents; have crooked elections, judges, gov’t agencies, and politicians; be subjected to lying media outlets; be censored by social media companies; pay thousands of dollars for useless health insurance; allow our borders to be wide open; weaken our military via woke policies; consider reparations based on skin color; and watch a former president and leading candidate be indicted over a ledger entry. It is not interesting, it is beyond troubling.

4.Networks Spend 273 Minutes on Trump, 0 Seconds on Biden Family Corruption
Newsbusters – The Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks continue to bury the Hunter Biden probe and the growing scandals surrounding the Biden family’s corruption, including the House Oversight Committee’s revelations that Hunter, the President’s brother Jim and Hallie Biden (widow of son Beau) received payments from a Chinese energy firm — something President Joe Biden firmly denied.

However, their voracious appetite for covering the various investigations (Stormy Daniels, Mara Lago documents, January 6th) surrounding former President Donald Trump remains unsatiated.

Beginning with the House Oversight Committee’s breaking of the Hallie Biden news through the evening of Trump’s indictment, MRC analysts tracked the glaring double-standard.

Over 14 days (March 16-March 30) ABC, NBC, CBS filled their evening, morning and Sunday roundtable shows with over 272 minutes (4 hours, 32 minutes, 56 seconds) of Trump investigation coverage compared to ZERO seconds spent on Biden family corruption stories. On average, network audiences saw almost 20 minutes per day of Trump investigation stories.

DML: Like I told Elon, we are living in troubling times.

5.Father rips into school board over sex assignment given to children at school
Twitter — The Eugene School District 4J is a public K–12 school district that serves about 16,000 students in Eugene, Oregon. A father recently addressed the school board after learning from his daughter that her teacher required a sexually explicit assignment.  The video of the father’s comments to the board has gone viral.

Allegedly, the students were asked to submit the initials of a student in the class with whom they’d like to engage in oral sex, anal sex, kissing, and ear licking. The father threatened to file a complaint against each board member with the County Clerks Office if the teacher is not fired.
