Today is April 14. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room. 1. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signs six-week ‘heartbeat bill’ into law to limit abortion The new law expands protections to unborn children, giving them full rights to life once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can be as early as six weeks of pregnancy. It also provides funding to help mothers across the state. “Signed the Heartbeat Protection Act, which expands pro-life protections and devotes resources to help young mothers and families,” DeSantis wrote on Twitter Thursday, sharing a photo of himself at his governor’s desk where he is signing the law.
Ryan Lynch: Ron DeSantis keeps putting out amazing legislation like the Heartbeat Protection Act. Just another way to combat mass murder through planned parenthood and to encourage people to keep and raise their babies. 2. Mom slams California school for transitioning her daughter to a boy ‘behind her back’ as district votes to KEEP parental secrecy policy – and bearded trans activist says teachers are protecting kids from ‘hate and prejudice’ at home Aurora Regino is suing the Chico Unified School District in California and last week appeared at a school board meeting to reveal how the child had told a school counselor she felt like a boy – who immediately ‘affirmed her new identity’.
‘The elementary school transitioned her from female to male behind my back,’ she said. ‘During one of those one-on-one meetings my daughter told the counselor she wanted to tell me about her new identity – the counselor ignored her request.’ Ryan Lynch: Schools are becoming indoctrination machines. Every parent must attend board meetings, talk to their children about what is being taught, and personally meet these teachers and counselors. They have their woke ideologies in mind, not what is best for the students. 3. Study finds out-of-shape recruits cost Army millions as branch battles recruiting crisis A study in the Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases journal found the increased prevalence of unfit Army recruits has led to an alarming rate of injuries to soldiers going through their initial entry training, presenting another issue for a branch already having difficulty finding enough recruits to fill the ranks. The research, which studied trainees entering the Army during fiscal year 2017, found the nearly 35% of initial-entry trainees suffered at least one musculoskeletal injury during training. The problem was most pronounced among women, with 62% of female trainees suffering a musculoskeletal injury compared to 32% of male recruits. Perhaps even more troublesome, the study found that recruits from the South, a typical recruiting hotbed for the military, were more prone to injury during training, accounting for eight of the worst-performing 10 states for trainee injuries. Ryan Lynch: On top of not being able to recruit troops, the troops we are recruiting aren’t even our best stock. This is what the left and China want, to weaken everything that makes this country great. 4. Stormy Daniels fears her scandal could make things ‘worse’ for America The famed porn actress, writer, and director is set to receive PornHub’s lifetime achievement award later this month, we have learned. And in an exclusive interview with Page Six about the honor, Daniels said that — when she reflects on her long career — her alleged 2006 tryst with the future president stands out as her biggest regret. Ryan Lynch: Stormy Daniels is an IDIOT. What are your thoughts? 5. Man suspected of leaking secret US documents to appear in court Jack Douglas Teixeira, of North Dighton, Massachusetts, was arrested by the FBI at his home on Thursday without incident. It is believed to be the most serious security breach since more than 700,000 documents, videos and diplomatic cables appeared on the WikiLeaks website in 2010. U.S. officials are still assessing the damage done by the leaks, which included records showing purported details of Ukrainian military vulnerabilities and information about allies including Israel, South Korea and Turkey. Ryan Lynch: Where are the investigations into the leaked documents by the Bidens? America has a two-tier justice system, and I’ll keep saying it does until America isn’t one anymore |
