DML Morning Briefing Mon. May 2

‘Disinformation’, witch hunts, and mockery from Dems.

By  Team DML

Today is May 2 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion.

1 – Mayorkas claims he didn’t explain ‘disinformation’ board effectively
Fox News reports: Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said “there’s no question” he could have more effectively communicated the purpose of his newly-created “disinformation” board after critics framed it as a crackdown on free speech.

Mayorkas said on “Fox News Sunday” that the Biden administration “could have done a better job in communicating what it does.”
Mayorkas announced that DHS created a Disinformation Governance Board to combat online disinformation during his testimony Wednesday before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security.

“The goal is to bring the resources of [DHS] together to address this threat,” he said during the hearing, adding that the department is focused on the spread of disinformation in minority communities ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

Mayorkas explained Sunday that the board specifically addresses “disinformation that presents a security threat to the homeland.”

“Disinformation from Russia, from China, from Iran, from the cartels,” he said.

DML: “Disinformation,” my foot! We all know what this was for.  Mayorkas also REFUSED to say that Biden’s objective is to REDUCE illegal imigration…. because that’s not their objective at all.

And Mayorkas eagerly admitted that ending Title 42 will bring in MORE illegal aliens.

2 – Federal judge rejects RNC lawsuit against Jan. 6 panel
The Hill reports: A federal judge in Washington, D.C., on Sunday rejected a lawsuit filed by the Republican National Committee (RNC) against the House select committee investigating the January 6 riots.

The RNC had alleged its First and Fourth Amendment rights were violated when the panel subpoenaed Salesforce, a software company it used for fundraising efforts.

In a 53-page opinion, Judge Timothy Kelly in the U.S. District Court in D.C. dismissed all claims against the House committee and ruled that its subpoena does not violate the First Amendment, arguing “less is at stake than the RNC represents.”

“The subpoena’s demand for this information does not seek the disclosure of confidential internal materials and does not add to the RNC’s burden,” Kelly wrote in his opinion. “For the information the parties acknowledge exists but is currently confidential—such as the performance data of the RNC’s email campaigns during this period—the strength of the Select Committee’s interest in this information outweighs any actual burdens imposed by its disclosure to the Select Committee.”

DML: The Jan. 6 Committee is still ramping up their witch hunt.  Vote them out of office in November!

3 – Biden laughs at inflation jokes during black tie dinner
Fox News reports: Trevor Noah, the host of the 2022 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, took aim at President Biden during his set, making jokes about inflation, the president’s approval rating and the botched evacuation of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, throwing a quip in at the end of his remarks that the Biden administration “doesn’t handle evacuations well.”

“Ever since you came into office, things are already looking up,” Noah said in his remarks. “Gas is up, rent is up, food is up.”

Americans have been plagued by inflation and rising prices in recent months. Biden was seen laughing in response to the joke.

Noah also quipped about why he was chosen as the host of the dinner and then said to the president, “but then I was told you get your highest approval ratings with a biracial African guy standing next to you.”

DML: Disgusting. Democrats clearly don’t care about how bad their policies are hurting the American people.

4 – ‘Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste’: Biden Official Says Food Shortages Will Lead Farmers Toward Green Energy
The Daily Caller reports: U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Chief Samantha Power claimed on “This Week” Sunday that food shortages will push farmers toward green energy.

Power said food prices have increased 34% globally, prompting her agency to ask Congress for assistance in easing the food shortage crisis on a global scale. She said the agency is working with farmers across the globe to transition to “natural solutions” that are, according to her, in their best interest.

“We’re working with farmers to also increase their production so you actually have more supply brought on market. Fertilizer shortages are real now because Russia’s a big exporter of fertilizer, and even though fertilizer is not sanctioned, less fertilizer is coming out of Russia,” she said. “As a result, we’re working with countries to think about natural solutions like manure and compost, and this may hasten transitions that would have been in the interest of farmers to make eventually, anyway. So, never let a crisis go to waste.”

DML: I’ll repeat same answer from the story before: Disgusting! Democrats clearly don’t care about how bad their policies are hurting the American people.

5 – COVID 4-Eva! Bill Gates Wants Global Surveillance Pact with W.H.O. for ‘Even More Fatal’ ’Rona Variants
Breitbart reports: Begin preparing now for the appearance of “even more fatal” variants of coronavirus in the future. That’s the advice from billionaire globalist Bill Gates who warned Sunday that international health surveillance driven by increased funding for the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) is one way to forestall pandemic outbreaks.

The Microsoft founder said he did not want to sound “doom and gloom” but warned there was a risk an “even more transmissive and even more fatal” variant could be generated.

He told the Financial Times (FT) in an interview the risk of that happening is “way above five per cent” and would mean the world has yet to see the worst of the pandemic, if his predictions are indeed correct.

Gates cautioned that while the war in Ukraine dominates the international agenda, global leaders should not to lose sight of the health crisis, even as he flies around the world relentlessly lecturing about climate issues.

He called for greater investment to prevent future pandemics. “It seems wild to me that we could fail to look at this tragedy and not, on behalf of the citizens of the world, make these investments,” Gates told the FT.

DML: Just WHO elected this guy to be in charge?  Nobody!
