DML Morning Briefing June 27

By  Dennis Michael Lynch

Today is June 27. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.

1.More than 1 million voters switch to GOP in warning for Dems
Ap – A political shift is beginning to take hold across the U.S. as tens of thousands of suburban swing voters who helped fuel the Democratic Party’s gains in recent years are becoming Republicans.

More than 1 million voters across 43 states have switched to the Republican Party over the last year, according to voter registration data analyzed by The Associated Press. The previously unreported number reflects a phenomenon that is playing out in virtually every region of the country — Democratic and Republican states along with cities and small towns — in the period since President Joe Biden replaced former President Donald Trump.

But nowhere is the shift more pronounced — and dangerous for Democrats — than in the suburbs, where well-educated swing voters who turned against Trump’s Republican Party in recent years appear to be swinging back. Over the last year, far more people are switching to the GOP across suburban counties from Denver to Atlanta and Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Republicans also gained ground in counties around medium-size cities such as Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Raleigh, North Carolina; Augusta, Georgia; and Des Moines, Iowa.

DML: Not a shock, people can only be stupid for so long, right?  Or is it that Democrats can not tolerate the costs of $6 per gallon of gas, open borders, and violent crime. Could it be they never intended to vote for a guy who can’t move about his day without a cheat sheet to remind him when to take a pee. I reconfirm my podcast from over the weekend, the Roe decision won’t be a factor in the midterms of 2024.  We now have 1 million more smart people in America, thank you Jesus. Speaking of smart people, you’d be dumb if you did not read MY PARTING WORDS below.

2.Texas GOP Rep. Mayra Flores says Speaker Nancy Pelosi ‘pushed’ her daughter during photo op (video)
Fox News – A newly-elected Congresswoman took to Twitter and accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of pushing her young daughter during a photo op last week.

“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her,” Rep. Mayra Flores (R-Texas) said in a tweet with a video of the incident that took place during her swearing-in ceremony on June 21. “She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen,” Flores said of her daughter.

The video shows Pelosi waving to someone off-camera when she looks down to Flores’ daughter standing next to her and extends her elbow at the same time the child moves to the side. “No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!” Flores added in the tweet.

DML: Democrats, including the wicked witch of California, are more violent than ISIS.  They are angry all the time, and their brains don’t fire correctly. Any loser who would elbow a child has got to be a Democrat, and the media should blast her for being a racist considering she pushed a Latino child.

3.Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong says he’s renouncing his US citizenship: ‘F— America’
Fox News – Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong said he is going to renounce his U.S. citizenship and move to England because he is so upset over the Supreme Court overturning landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade.

The “American Idiot” singer made the comments to a crowd at the band’s show in London on Friday. “F— America, I’m f—ing renouncing my citizenship,” Armstrong said. “I’m f—ing coming here.”

“There’s just too much f—ing stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f—ing excuse for a country,” Armstrong added. “Oh, I’m not kidding. You’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days.”

DML: Dude wears eye make up like a woman, that alone tells you he isn’t playing with a full deck.  I say this to the punk, “Don’t let the door hit you in the ass.”  America will be less one liberal idiot.  If there was only a flying mega bus that would hold the other 100 million like him, we could deport every Democrat by flying them over the pond and then driving them up to the castle where the Queen can deal with them.  Where’s Elon Musk when you need him!

4.Legal clashes await U.S. companies covering workers’ abortion costs
Reuters – A growing number of large U.S. companies have said they will cover travel costs for employees who must leave their home states to get abortions, but these new policies could expose businesses to lawsuits and even potential criminal liability, legal experts said.

Amazon.com Inc, Apple Inc, Lyft Inc, Microsoft Corp and JPMorgan Chase & Co were among companies that announced plans to provide those benefits through their health insurance plans in anticipation of Friday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that had legalized abortion nationwide.

Companies will have to navigate a patchwork of state laws and are likely to draw the ire of anti-abortion groups and Republican-led states if they adopt policies supportive of employees having abortions.

It is likely only a matter of time before companies face lawsuits from states or anti-abortion campaigners claiming that abortion-related payments violate state bans on facilitating or aiding and abetting abortions, according to Robin Fretwell Wilson, a law professor at the University of Illinois and expert on healthcare law.

DML: I would call for bans on Apple, Amazon, and Google, but then you’d have no way to talk on the phone, order your next items of need, or search for alternatives.  It’s amazing how those three companies rule the world and our everyday lives. Sad really.  But more importantly, thank you President Trump for the overturning of Roe.  He deserves the majority of the credit.

5.Monkeypox outbreak in Los Angeles soars to 22 cases after Pride events
DailyMail – Los Angeles records 22 monkeypox cases after Pride events as health officials say outbreak is running rampant among gay community.

‘Anyone can get and spread monkeypox, but some of the recent cases identified have been among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men who attended large events where the exposure to monkeypox may have occurred,’ said Los Angeles Department of Public Health in a statement.

The warning comes after a month of Pride celebrations in the city that included Pride in the Park on June 11, a concert that attracted over 20,000 people and included a performance from Christina Aguilera as well as the city’s parade which occurred on June 12.
