DML Morning Briefing May 30

By  Dennis Michael Lynch

Today is May 30. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.

1.Federal government may provide funds to demolish then rebuild Robb Elementary School
Fox News reports that Joe Biden suggested to a local lawmaker on Sunday that the federal government may provide funds to destroy Robb Elementary School, where 21 people were shot and killed on Tuesday.

“He said, ‘I’m not going away. I’m going to bring you resources. We’re going to look to raze that school, build a new one,’” state Sen. Roland Gutierrez, who represents Uvalde, told local news outlet KSAT.

“I can’t tell you how many little children that I’ve talked to that don’t want to go into that building. They’re just traumatized. They’re just destroyed,” Gutierrez added.

DML: This is so on brand for Biden.  Rip down and destroy.  How about putting money into making schools safe instead of destroying the building.  Typical Democrat, thinking with his ass instead of his head.

2.Season’s 1st hurricane aims heavy hit at Mexico tourist zone

AP News — Hurricane Agatha, the season’s first, headed for a stretch of tourist beaches and fishing towns on Mexico’s southern Pacific coast Monday amid warnings of dangerous storm surge and flooding from heavy rains.

After forming on Sunday, Agatha quickly gained power, and it was predicted to make landfall as a powerful Category 3 hurricane Monday afternoon or evening, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

It was moving toward the area near Puerto Escondido and Puerto Angel in the southern state of Oaxaca — a region that includes the laid-back tourist resorts of Huatulco, Mazunte and Zipolite.

The hurricane center said Agatha could “bring an extremely dangerous storm surge and life-threatening winds.”

Late Sunday, Agatha had maximum sustained winds of 110 mph (175 kph) — just 1 mph under the threshold for a Category 3, the hurricane center said. The storm’s center was about 140 miles (225 kilometers) southwest of Puerto Angel and heading to the northeast at 6 mph (9 kph).

DML: If the hurricane hits Mexico, and if there is any “raze” or damage, Joe Biden will likely suggest we pay for it because Mother Nature is a racist for targeting Mexicans.

3.Florida student, TEN, is arrested for ‘sending text message threatening mass shooting at his elementary school’

Daily Mail reports that a 10-year-old in Florida was arrested Saturday after allegedly sending a text message threatening to shoot up his school.

The arrest of Daniel Issac Marquez comes just five days after 19 children and two teachers were slain at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, by deranged gunman Salvador Ramos, 18.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Marquez is a 5th grade student at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral, Florida.

DML: I’ve got a million bucks to bet that Marquez is a gamer.  Anyone care to take the bet?

4.North Carolina preschool teacher is caught using non-approved LGBTQ flashcards depicting a pregnant man to teach three and four-year-olds about colors

A North Carolina preschool teacher has been caught using unapproved LGBTQ flash cards – which include images of a pregnant man – to teach 3 and 4-year-old children colors.

The teacher, who has not been identified, was found out to have used them on the preschoolers after a constituent of State Representative Erin Pare contacted the Republican about the cards at Ballantine Elementary School in Wake County.

Paré contacted the principal of the school to see if she was aware of the use of the cards, which showcase LGBTQ relationships and also go through what each of the colors in the Pride Flag mean.

The cards are made by a now-defunct company called ByUs Box, which also made sets of flash cards showcasing non-binary and transgender animals, gender neutral nursery rhymes and a ‘Blackness Collection.’ The company was created by two women who said they were inspired by the murder of George Floyd.

North Carolina Speaker of the House Tim Moore and Paré say that Principal Lutashia Dove – who was unaware they were being used – verified that the teacher had been using the cards outside the approved curriculum.

DML: Someone vetted this teacher and gave them a job. This is a massive problem, just like school shootings, districts aren’t doing enough to protect our children from predators. Any teacher who uses these sort of flash cards should be considered a threat to children. So instead of investigating parents who don’t want CRT or gender craziness taught in school, the authorities should begin looking into the teachers who are radical. They are the real threat.

5.CDC recommends indoor masking in two major Florida metro areas

According to The Palm Beach Post, the CDC is recommending indoor masking in the three South Florida counties, along with six other counties in the state, a week after officials understated the COVID-19 health risk statewide.

Coronavirus infections have once again become so widespread, and hospitalizations so high, that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people mask up indoors and on public transportation in South Florida — Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties — the Tampa Bay area, and Sarasota, Polk and Alachua counties.

The recommendation is part of the CDC’s “Community Level” classification system, which tries to estimate if the respiratory disease has a low, medium or high risk of straining health-care systems in each U.S. county.

DML: Wear a mask? Seriously? Please, someone call the CDC and tell them masks do not work.  On another note, happy Memorial Day.
