Today is July 16. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.

1.MBS says Saudi Arabia cannot greatly increase oil production
Fox News – Prince Mohammed bin Salman says Saudi Arabia is almost tapped out on increasing oil production.

The Saudi prince said that they will not have the capacity to produce beyond 13 million barrels per day.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, the country is currently producing approximately 10,211,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

DML: Biden’s entire plan was to head over to the Middle East and secure more oil, and like everything else in his presidency it blows up in his face.  Anyone who voted for this guy needs to have their brain checked, and is a detriment to the United States.

2.FBI’s most-wanted Mexican drug lord is caught after nearly a decade on the run and $20m bounty
Daily Mail – Infamous Mexican drug baron Rafael Caro Quintero – who ordered the kidnap and murder of a US drug enforcement agent in 1985 – has been caught eight years after fleeing jail and unleashing a vicious turf war with rival drug lords.

The 69-year-old was captured by Mexican forces yesterday nearly a decade after walking out of a Mexican prison and returning to drug trafficking, Mexico’s navy said.

Caro Quintero was arrested after a search dog named Max found him hiding in brush in the town of San Simon in Sinaloa state during a joint operation by the navy and the attorney general’s office, a navy statement said.

The attorney general’s office said in a statement late on Friday that Caro Quintero had been arrested for extradition and would be held at the maximum security Altiplano prison about 50 miles west of Mexico City.

DML: Who is willing to bet he escapes somehow.  I am.

3.Russia says it is stepping up operations as more rockets hit Ukraine

(Reuters) – A Russian missile strike hit the northeast Ukrainian town of Chuhuiv in Kharkiv region overnight, killing three people including a woman of 70, and wounding three more, the regional governor said on Saturday.

The strike damaged a two-storey residential building, a school and a shop, and rescuers were going through the rubble, Governor Oleh Synehubov and the police said.

A regional police official said Russia fired four missiles at the town from near its western city of Belgorod at around 0330 local time.

DML: If I was Putin, I would do the same thing.  Why would he not, there’s nobody to fear. China is their friends, and the US continues to worry more about creating fair and equal playing fields for trans people while the rest of the world builds nukes, invade borders, and laughs at Joe Biden.

4.Trump-Endorsed Harriet Hageman Leads Liz Cheney by 22 Points in Wyoming Primary
Breitbart – Trump-endorsed congressional candidate Harriet Hageman leads Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) by 22 points heading into the August 16 primary, according to a Friday Casper Star-Tribune/Mason-Dixon poll.

The poll found Hageman leads Cheney 52 percent to 30 percent. Eleven percent are undecided.

Sixty-six percent also disapprove of Cheney’s overall job performance in Congress, which is driven by her participation in Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) partisan January 6 Committee.

DML: How much fun will it be to watch her lose by a blockbuster margin!

5.New variant of Omnicron spreads rapidly this summer.
Business Insider – There’s a new coronavirus variant traveling around this summer at a record clip. It’s a variant of Omicron called BA.5, and it’s causing a stir largely because it has evolved even further away than other Omicron variants did from the coronavirus we already knew.

Previously, getting infected with Omicron meant you probably had some protection against reinfection for a few months. But BA.5 is strategically evading our built-up defenses against prior versions of the virus. This all means that reinfections — even in vaccinated and recently infected people — are up, way up.

So, yes, BA.5 is easier to catch than other variants have been, and it may feel like it’s lurking everywhere right now, infecting anyone, whether or not you’ve already had a vaccine, a booster shot, and/or a recent bout of COVID-19.

DML: For as long as they mislead people into believing the vaccine works as advertised this will continue.  People get the shot and think they’re “protected” only to find themselves in bed for a week. Why do government health officials offer no other alternatives? Why do they continue to push a vax as if it works wonders. Why don’t they push the idea of boosting the immune system, or mention other options that have showed promise. For example, the NIH posted on their website the following sentence, “Cannabidiol (CBD) from the cannabis plant has potential to prevent and inhibit SARS-CoV-2 infection.”  Notwithstanding my website and podcasts, how many times have you heard about CBD as an option?  Never!  Meanwhile, check out the email I received yesterday from a customer.  It’s in my parting words below.
