|Biden fumbles, Harris speech troubles, school ‘royalty’, and more…|
|By Anneta Griffee
Today is October 19. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.
1 – State Department Cleans Up Diplomatic Mess After Biden Questions Pakistan Having Nuclear Weapons
Biden made the offending comments at a Democrat Party event at a private home in California last week.
Offering disorganized remarks commenting on nuclear weapons generally, Biden mentioned Pakistan amid boasting yet again that he has a close personal relationship with dictator Xi Jinping of China.
“I’ve spent more time with Xi Jinping than any person in — any head of state in Amer- — in the world,” Biden rambled, again making the dubious claim that he had traveled 17,000 miles with the genocidal leader, which earned him three out four “Pinocchios” from the Washington Post last year.
Biden then abruptly turned to Pakistan. “This is a guy [Xi] who understands what he wants but has an enormous, enormous array of problems. How do we handle that?” the president asked. “How do we handle that relative to what’s going on in Russia? And what I think is maybe one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan. Nuclear weapons without any cohesion.”
MY TAKE: 81 million people voted for this, remember? What a JOKE!
2 – Say what? Kamala Harris hires third chief VP speechwriter since taking office
Dave Cavell, who has previously served as speechwriter for White House climate envoy John Kerry and in the Obama White House, has been hired in the role, per Politico.
Harris’s office has seen multiple shake-ups in the past year, with two head speechwriters leaving and several other aides departing.
The high level of turnover in the vice president’s office, specifically in her communications team, has come as she has made several awkward gaffes, including saying the United States had an alliance with the “Republic of North Korea” and insisting hurricane aid be given based on “equity.”
MY TAKE: Another new speechwriter isn’t going to help – the incompetency shows every time she opens her mouth! Like the following…. what in the WORLD did she just say??
3 – Biden Set For Long Vacation In Delaware Nearly 2 Weeks Before Midterms
The upcoming three-day vacation comes after the president also spent the weekend of Oct. 15-16 in Delaware, and has been away from the White House for more than a quarter of his presidency, according to a report from CNN.
Biden has spent 174 days in Delaware as of Oct. 16, and 64 days at Camp David, outpacing former President Donald Trump’s total 158 days away from the White House at the same point in his administration, the outlet reported.
When asked why the president is spending the weekend vacationing so close to the midterms, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden takes the midterms “very seriously” and that he’s “been around.”
“He’s been around. He just went to Colorado. He just went to California. He just went to Portland. We’re going to go to Pennsylvania. We’re going to go to Florida. And we’ll have more to share,” Jean-Pierre said at a press briefing Monday.
MY TAKE: Biden and Harris both need to go on vacation – and never come back! VOTE RED!!!
4 – School ditches homecoming ‘king,’ ‘queen’ for gender-neutral alternative
Hinsdale South High School in Darien, Illinois, recently made the change in order give all students a chance to be involved in the tradition, according to FOX 32.
A spokesperson for the school said that during a recent assembly, freshmen, sophomores and juniors voted for classmates to be part of the homecoming court, and then the entire student body voted for two people from the senior court to become “royalty.”
The school chose to use the term “royalty” over “king” or “queen.”
The student body voted two males to become homecoming “royalty,” who then asked to be announced as homecoming king.
MY TAKE: Everywhere you look, liberals are turning society upside down.
5 – ‘It’s Done Just to Break’: Troops Speak Out Against COVID Vaccine Mandate
Former Marine Capt. Dale Saran is now representing more than a thousand service members in two separate cases that he hopes will end the current mandate, if he is once again successful.
During a press conference Tuesday, Saran said the Pentagon’s mandate is illegal, since it entails ordering service members to take a vaccine approved for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and not the vaccine licensed by the FDA, known as Comirnaty.
By law, under 10 U.S.C. Section 1107a, the Pentagon cannot legally mandate an EUA vaccine. In order to do so, the defense secretary must request and receive a presidential waiver in order to mandate an EUA vaccine, and the Pentagon has refused to clarify whether it has ever requested or received that waiver. Instead, the Pentagon has argued that the EUA vaccine and the FDA-approved Comirnaty are “interchangeable,” as Breitbart News has previously reported.
MY TAKE: Does anyone else feel like those in charge are intentionally trying to break and weaken our US military? See related video below:
